How can I fix a tub that is sagging in the middle and therefore never drains all the water?
We moved into an apartment that is about 9 years old and the tub collects just a little bit of water in the center that never drains.
Looks like the tub plastic has sagged in the center.
Can it be easily fixed without removing the whole tub?
You will need to remove the bath panel then pack the centre of the tub but don’t do it all at once as you could crack the tub.Pack the centre with timbers like 2×4 on the flat one on top of the other then a piece of plywood as a tight fit the after a couple of days try to ease another piece of plywood in maybe in 1/4” increments until it no longer pools. Good luck and don’t over compensate
It was improperly installed. No mortarbed was set under it. Too late to change it now without major demolition.
If you can get to the tub exterior by removing a panel or something you can pack insulation or that 3 m spray expanding foam …it has a long tube that you can feed into a small opening. That is a tough one if you cannot get to the outside of the tub.
