overflow during heavy rains or spring thaw 3. mold in insulation in the sun room.—you can see insulation no ceiling was put on yet. 4. Changing the whole house from fuses to circut breakers

I guess we legally couldn’t do #4 by myself but, does anyone know how to FIX these problems and how much PARTS might COST??

I can help you with a couple of these. The wood burner pipe and damper can be bought at most hardware/ lumber stores. Measure the pipe size of the wood burner and the existing flue you are tying into. You can also by reducers if the two openings are different size. You will need to drill a hole in the flue pipe usually 3/8 is big enough to install the damper. Depending on the length of pipe you need the cost is usually between $10 to $50 depending on length and number of fittings needed. With the basement drains you can buy inline check valves that go directly in the opening of the drain. All you have to do is tighten a couple of screws that will lock it in place. This will allow water to still drain from the basement but when you have back pressure from rain water it forces the check to close and water can not come in through the drain. The only down side is that water can not drain out of the floor drain when you have back pressure.
