How do I rebuild lost trust in my relationship?
I’ve been dating my girl for 2 years. She has cheated on me once. All the precious trust has been flushed down the drain. I really love her. She really showed me that it was a mistake and that she will never do it again. But how to get trust her again?
omg this is a tough one! my boyfriend cheated on me, and i forgave him…but it was never the same after that. Theres no more trust, and without trust theres not foundation to a relationship. I became more suspicious of him and it killed me that i couldnt trust him. Tell her that she needs to show u FOR REAL that u can trust her again. It takes years and time to gain trust and a second to loose it. Dont get me wrong i was still with my boyfriend after i fogave him biut i was never able to fully trust him and he cheated on me a year into the realtionship …we stayed together for 2 years after that..but he ended up breaking up with me bc he thought i was gong to get him back for cheating on me which i never had the intentions to do so. and if u do decided to forgive her once u fully gained the trust….let the mistake go and try to live on as if it never happened. dont dwell on it bc it willj ust make u go crazy! it relly depends on the depth of ur relationship…but if ur love strong it will conquer this bump…but dont let her off easily bc she will do it again if she sees that there are no consequences to her wrong doings!
You may never truly forget, but if it’s meant to be then you’ll find away to forgive. once you forgive, trust will follow, god says we have to forgive, trust in god. he can make anything happen!!!
